- Construction: Both feature innerspring coils and foam layers, which combine for a comfortable and stable sleeping experience.

Key Differences
- Trial Period: While DreamCloud offers a generous 365-day trial period with your DreamCloud mattress, Helix’s trial period expires after only 100 days.

- Motion Isolation: The Helix Midnight’s foam layers help to isolate motion and keep you from disturbing a partner while moving around during the night, but DreamCloud’s original mattress will not perform as well at keeping motion on one side of the bed or the other.

Trial Period
DreamCloud mattresses come with a full yearlong trial period, which is among the highest on the market, and this trial period does not begin until 30 days after getting your mattress. This allows you to fully break in the mattress before making a decision.
On the other hand, Helix’s trial period only lasts for 100 days, and the first 30 days are included. Returns are free, but you do not get the 365-night deal of DreamCloud.
Responsiveness
The DreamCloud original also outperformed the Helix Midnight in responsiveness. It quickly responds to movement, allowing you to comfortably change sleeping positions.
Edge Support
Both the DreamCloud original and the Helix Midnight mattresses were outstanding in edge support, with the DreamCloud scoring a perfect 10/10 and the Helix Midnight coming in at 9/10. Better edge support accommodates both those who sleep towards the edge of the bed as well as those who use the edge to get ready in the morning.
Helix vs DreamCloud: Which Is Best?
Learn about which mattress will best fit your sleeping position, sleep environment, budget, and customer service experience.
Sleeping Position
Because the DreamCloud original and Helix Midnight are medium-firm mattresses that include foam and coiled layers, they will each support your body while you sleep regardless of your preferred position. Side and back sleepers will benefit from the outstanding spinal alignment and pressure relief offered by both, ensuring that their posture stays in check throughout the night. Light stomach sleepers will benefit from the support offered by the medium-firmness of both mattresses, and combination sleepers will be able to toss and turn as much as they want.
Sleep Environment
The DreamCloud original and Helix Midnight are hybrid mattresses, meaning they are made with both foam layers and a coiled support system. Because of this, they are not hot like a traditional foam mattress, but are cool and regulate body temperature well. This makes them great options for hot sleepers who don’t want the warm feel of a traditional memory foam mattress.
Budget
The DreamCloud original and Helix Midnight are both in a similar price range, with the DreamCloud on average being slightly cheaper. And since these mattresses are similarly priced, you can focus on the mattresses’ quality instead of how much they cost!
Customer Service
There is a discrepancy in the customer service of Helix vs DreamCloud. Helix’s customer service is a bit hard to reach, and while you can email them or call and speak with a representative, other companies such as DreamCloud offer live chat features and distinct time ranges in which you can speak with them about any issues you may have.
