By Loren Bullock

Ikea is one of those go-to stores for all of your furniture needs. Get your couches, kitchenware, and lighting all in one place, so why not your mattress as well? Ikea mattresses are cost-efficient, comfortable, and conveniently located: you can either pick them up in an Ikea store if you prefer traditional mattress shopping or simply buy online!

Ikea currently carries 17 mattress models featuring spring, memory foam, and latex mattresses. We’ll give you the details on each mattress collection, so you can pick the perfect Ikea mattress for your needs.

Ikea Collections Overview

Ikea doesn’t have collections, per se—they organize their mattress models by type. Foam mattresses can either be made of memory foam or polyurethane foam. Latex mattresses can either be made from synthetic latex or natural latex. The spring mattress collection features innerspring mattresses, a hybrid model, and pillow top options. You truly get a variety. Mattresses will come roll packed in a box.

Collections Number of Mattresses Price Range Rating and Reviews
Foam Mattresses 6 $189-$649 4 out of 5 stars, 454 reviews
Latex Mattresses 3 $399-$899 4.5 out of 5 stars, 60 reviews
Spring Mattresses 8 $120-$799 3.7 out of 5 stars, 800 reviews

Let’s take a deeper look into each collection and its best mattresses to help you decide which is right for you.

Foam Mattresses

Ikea foam mattresses are either made of memory foam or polyurethane foam, but both contour to your body for great relief from your pressure points and offer wonderful motion isolation. Keep in mind that the Ikea Headquarters are in Sweden, so they primarily use centimeters. The mattress heights in inches are rarely a whole number. Here are some of our top picks from the foam options.

Ikea Company Overview

Ikea was founded in 1943 by Ingvar Kamprad when he was just 17. Back then, he just sold small home goods using a “thrifty and innovative” approach. Ikea began to sell their products via catalog because of its founding in a remote village: the prices were so low they needed a showroom to prove the quality.

Today, Ikea has come a long way from selling catalog furniture in Sweden. Now, they offer their furniture all over the world: from Australia to Turkey to Singapore. Their affordable mattress options with unique Swedish names are available across the US, both online and in Ikea retailers.
