Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress Review

(Note: At the time of testing, the Allswell Luxe Hybrid was known as “The Firmer One” so this is what the mattress is referred to in our video.)

What Makes Allswell Different

The Allswell had one of the highest total scores among similar mattresses – driven by its strong edge support, pressure relief, and responsiveness.

A Disruptive Pricepoint

Bed-in-a-box mattresses are known to be more affordable than traditional mattresses, and the Allswell Luxe Hybrid mattress is one of the most affordable of that group. Allswell Home, a brand launched by Walmart, offers some of the most affordable mattresses in the game.

A queen size Allswell Luxe Hybrid mattress costs only $585, which in some cases, is cheaper than a twin size model offered by other leading brands. If you’re looking for a quality mattress at a reasonable price, Allswell is a great brand to choose.

A Complete Collection of Curated Bedding

Are you ready to take your bedding to the next level? When you shop with Allswell, you can easily decorate your entire bedroom with quality, designer-style pieces.

Superior Spine Alignment

When it comes to budget mattresses, structural soundness can become questionable. Yet, Allswell offers an affordable product without compromising on quality—the Mattress Advisor spine alignment test is proof of that.

When it comes to finding a good mattress, you’ll want one that supports your back. Otherwise, you’ll be waking up with aches and pains aggravated by your bed, and no one wants that. To keep your back in proper alignment, the construction of the mattress must be sound which means preventing the foundation from dipping.

The Allswell Luxe Hybrid scored a 9.5 for spine alignment, meaning you can rest assured you are in good hands when on the Allswell.

What to Watch Out For

  • You’ll probably notice a strange odor when you unbox the mattress – but it’s completely normal and will dissipate in a few hours.
  • The mattress could need some extra time to reach its full shape. It was squeezed in a box after all – give it a break! It might take up to 48 hours to fully expand.

Customer Reviews on the Allswell Luxe Hybrid Mattress

“As a hot sleeper, I’ve tried so many mattresses and they seem like they just trap heat. My Allswell mattress is the first mattress I’ve had that stays cool through the night and I love it. On top of that, the Firmer One is a great balance of support and cushion. It’s cozy but also supportive and it’s comfortable for all sleep positions (side, back, stomach). I’m really happy with this mattress and would highly recommend it to anyone looking.” Christy
“The bed is a perfect blend of plush and support. When sitting on the edge the bed is soft and once you lay down its just the right amount of firm. Unlike other mattress in a box brands Allswell makes it easy to buy highly attractive bedding that compliment a variety of personal styles. I highly recommend!" Dave L.
I am a pillowtop mattress type of girl and was very nervous to try this kind out. But the coil and memory foam combo is UNREAL. I look forward to going to bed every night. It has helped my back tremendously and I'm finally getting a good night's sleep. Thank you Allswell!" Paulina Z.

Allswell Luxe Hybrid IRL Review

Meet Mary Catherine

Mary Catherine is in her early-20s pursuing her graduate degree at Appalachian State University. Mary Catherine was a high-school athlete and has stayed regularly active throughout college.

She is primarily a stomach sleeper, although she tries to sleep on her back and side – she always seems to end up back on her stomach somehow. Mary Catherine tends to carry tension in her neck and shoulders. Though she doesn’t have a bad back, she notices her lower back will ache if she sleeps on a mattress with poor support.

The Buying Process

MA: Why were you in the market for a new mattress?

MC: I have been sleeping on a mattress passed down in the family for who knows how long! It was beginning to sag in the middle and I would wake up achey.

MA: What factors did you consider when buying a mattress?

MC: Definitely firmness. I am so sick of mattresses sinking in the middle. It causes my back to hurt.

MA: Did you compare any other brands? If so, what were they?

MC: Yes. I really liked the Solay and Tango.

MA: What ultimately led you to purchase the Allswell mattress?

MC: Ultimately, I went with Allswell because it was a better price. But the Tango (being double-sided) was a close competitor.

MA: What was your mattress buying experience like?
