⭐Total Score for the Serenade mattress⭐

Testing Highlights
Now you can get a close look at the Serenade mattress and how it scored in our testing.
Setting Up the Mattress
It took us exactly two minutes and 15 seconds to unbox the Serenade mattress. This mattress was very heavy but it puffed to life instantly. In fact, it puffed to life so quickly it sprung off the bed frame! It had a slight odor when it was first opened but it was not a chemical smell. Most likely the odor comes from the all-natural materials in the mattress. One sleep subject described commented they thought the smell was pleasant.
A queen size mattress weighs approximately 130 lbs so you will definitely need some additional manpower to get your mattress set up.
Motion Transfer Test
While our sleep subjects were testing motion transfer on the Serenade, they noticed they barely felt their partner climb in and out of the bed but could feel them moving when lying next to them. They believed the latter was more important, so for the first part of our motion transfer test, they gave the Serenade a 7.75 out of 10.

The Wine Test
In contrast to our human test, the glass of wine was very still while on the Serenade, so we gave it a 9 for this part of the motion transfer test. Check out our video below!
Testing Edge Support
Our testers thought the edge of the Serenade was more supportive than the average mattress. They felt their weight being cradle while sitting on the end of the bed.

The Side Test
Once again, they felt the edge of the Serenade to be safe and supportive. They felt they could easily, and comfortably, sleep on the edge of this mattress if their sleeping partner was hogging the middle of the bed (but let’s hope that doesn’t happen).

Pressure Relief Test
When on the Serenade, we noticed areas of high pressure in the shoulders of one sleep subject and some indications of potential pressure in the hips. Take a look at our results below. (Hint: Warmer colors indicate areas of higher pressure.)

Testing Spine Alignment
The spine’s of our sleep subjects were in great shape on the Serenade mattress. Check out the straight spine of our testing subject below!

Does the Naturepedic mattress have a break-in period?
It may take your body some time to adjust to sleeping on a new mattress, especially if this is a new type of mattress that you’re not used it. Generally, within 30 days you should be adjusted to your new mattress.
What's the difference between firm and cushion firm?
As a company, Naturepedic offers four firmness levels across all their mattress models: Firm, Cushion Firm, Plush, and Ultra Plush. The Serenade comes in Firm and Cushion Firm. According to Naturepedic, the majority of their customers prefer Cushion Firm, which is on the firm with a subtle amount of plushness for comfort and pressure point relief.
Can I clean my Serenade mattress?
Most of Naturepedic’s organic mattresses and the Luxury Mattress Toppers are spot clean only. Naturepedic recommends using a protector pad to protect against spills and soiling, as well as to prevent fluids from seeping into the mattress.
