Quick Summary: We like to think of the Nectar Premier Hybrid as the middle child who’s always looking for their time to shine. Sandwiched between the Nectar Classic Hybrid and the more deluxe Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid, this mattress finds a good balance between luxury and reasonable pricing.

Nectar Premier Hybrid Highlights

The Nectar Premier Hybrid is a luxury cooling mattress that stands 13″ tall. It combines foam layers with an airflow-friendly coil system. We think it sleeps even cooler than the all-foam Nectar Premier and has better spine alignment.
In this guide, we’ll give you a deeper insight into what materials went into making the Nectar Premier Hybrid and share some of its pros and cons.
What We Love About the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress
- The Nectar Premier Hybrid mattress brings a luxury vacation feel to your bedroom by incorporating a plush Euro Top.
- Its steel coil system and cooling cover are designed to provide airflow, breathability and cooling.
- While many bed-in-a-box mattress companies give you 100 nights to test out their beds, Nectar gives you a full year.

Nectar Premier Hybrid: The Highs and Lows
✅ Pros
- Pressure Relief: This mattress offers support as well as a more dense experience that provides a nice balance.
- Cooling: Because of the coils in this mattress’s construction, heat is not as likely to be trapped.
- Trial period: A trial period of 365 nights is hard to beat.
❌ Cons:
- Responsiveness: You may find this product is not as responsive as you’re looking for.
- Stomach Sleepers: This mattress is on the softer side for a medium firmness and not great for average-weight or heavier stomach sleepers.
- Manufacturing locations: Nectar products are sourced and manufactured in countries including Vietnam, Malaysia, China, and Mexico in addition to the U.S., which may be a deal-breaker if you want a 100% domestically produced mattress.
Product Details
Where Does It Fall on the Firmness Scale?
The Nectar Premier Hybrid falls at a 6 on the 1-10 firmness scale. This is considered medium or medium-firm and works with most sleeping positions since it’s both cushioning and supportive.
Does the Nectar Premier Hybrid Sleep Cool?
The Nectar Premier Hybrid sleeps very cool. If you’re a hot sleeper, you’ll appreciate its moisture wicking cover, which keeps heat at bay. The mattress also includes a memory foam layer with a wave-cut design and individually wrapped coils to promote airflow.
What Sleeping Position Does It Work For?
This mattress works great for most sleeping positions thanks to its medium firmness. Back sleepers will find it does a great job of keeping their spine aligned and side sleepers will get the pressure relief they need.
We also think this mattress would work well for lightweight stomach sleepers, but if you are a regular or plus-sized stomach sleeper, you may find it’s not firm enough for you and notice your hips dip into the foam layer.
Finally, since this is a hybrid mattress, you’d think it would be very responsive but we found it was not as bouncy as other hybrids. Combination sleepers who change positions frequently will enjoy this product.
How Much Weight Does the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress Support?
Nectar says its mattresses can support up to 650 lbs, but we feel the Premier Hybrid would work best for those weighing less than 250 lbs. Heavier sleepers may find the mattress to be too soft for them and won’t get as much support as lighter sleepers. Check out our best mattresses for heavy people guide for other options.
What Foundations or Bed Frames Are Compatible?
Since this is a hybrid mattress, you can use any flat foundation with it. This includes traditional foundations, platform bed frames, adjustable bases, and box springs.
What Is the Nectar Premier Hybrid Made of?
Towering at 13″, the Nectar Premier contains four layers of foam and an innerspring coil layer.
- Quilted Cooling Cover: A speckled pattern cover with special cooling technology and an antimicrobial finish to help you feel crisp.
- Plush Memory Foam (1″): The first memory foam layer contours to your body to cushion major pressure points and provide support.
- ActiveLift HD Layer (2″): Nectar’s speciality ActiveLift HD layer helps you maintain a proper spine alignment all night long.
- Dynamic Transition Layer (1″): Another layer of foam acts as a barrier between the top foam layers and the coil system.
- Coil System (8″): This layer contains individually wrapped coils that give the mattress additional support and breathability.
- Stability Base Layer (1″): The final foam layer gives the bed a sturdy support so it can hold all the top layers.
- Shift-Resistant Lower Cover: A bottom cover helps keep the bed in place so you don’t have to worry about it sliding around on your bed frame.

What’s Unboxing Like?
Like other bed-in-a- box mattresses, the Nectar Premier Hybrid comes rolled up inside a box. Since the bed includes a coil system, it’s a little heavier than other mattresses. We advise finding some help when carrying it into your bedroom. Once you unroll the mattress onto your desired foundation, it should take its full shape within two days.

If any defects occur after your first 10 years, they will repair it for you. Return Policy
Returning your Nectar Premier Hybrid mattress is easy. Just reach out to a customer service representative and they will walk you through the process. Once you donate your mattress or send it to a recycling center, you’ll receive a full refund, minus your original delivery fee if you live outside the contiguous U.S.
Nectar accepts unopened mattresses at any time during your trial period. If you have removed your mattress from the box, they ask that you wait 30 days to give your body time to adjust to the new materials.
Is the Nectar Premier Hybrid Right for You?
We think the Nectar Premier Hybrid is a great bed for back, side, and combination sleepers thanks to its medium firmness level. It also works great for lightweight stomach sleepers, but not heavier stomach sleepers. Since it comes with an antimicrobial protected cover, it would be great for those with allergies or people wanting a squeaky clean bed.
Some heavier sleepers may find this mattress too soft. We found that the edge support was a 8/10, meaning that it is good for the person who needs help getting out of bed or who likes to sleep on the edge.

What's the difference between the Nectar Premier Hybrid and the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid?
The main difference between the Nectar Premier Hybrid and the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid is that the Copper is 1″ taller and has a thicker plush memory foam layer. Of the two, the Nectar Premier Hybrid is the more affordable option. Nectar also offers a budget-friendly hybrid, the Nectar Classic Hybrid. The Premier Copper Hybrid sleeps a bit cooler.
Who are hybrid mattresses best for?
Hybrid mattresses are good for those wanting a comfortable yet supportive bed. Having both innerspring and foam layers allows a mattress to have a more responsive feel and give a “sleeping on” rather than “sinking in” feel.
We especially recommend hybrid mattresses to combination sleepers, since these beds are easy to move around on. Innerspring hybrid mattresses also work great for hot sleepers since their coil layers have better airflow and breathability than all-foam mattresses, which tend to trap heat.
Where are Nectar mattresses manufactured?
Nectar sources and manufactures its products in places such as the U.S., China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, and the U.S. They strive to select the best materials from around the world through their diversified supply chain.
