- Edge Support: The Saatva Classic is considered one of the best mattresses for side sleepers and seniors thanks to its phenomenal edge and lumbar support. As you can see, when you lie on the edge of the bed, there is almost no dip or sinkage, making it easier to get in and out of bed.

❌ Cons
- The Saatva Classic is a luxury mattress, so it’s not a great option for shoppers on a budget.
- While the Saatva offers great edge support, it does not provide the best pressure point relief. This could be a problem for people who have shoulder or hip pain.

Does Saatva’s Firmness Work for You?
Saatva offers three firmness levels: plush soft, luxury firm (which is the most popular), and firm. The plush soft is a 3/10, the luxury firm lies at about a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, and the firm mattress is an 8/10.

How Saatva Supports Different Types of Sleepers
Thanks to Saatva’s customizable firmness, the Saatva Mattress can accommodate sleepers of all positions. The plush soft firmness setting is preferred by side sleepers, while the luxury firm is preferred by almost all sleepers and helps maintain spinal alignment. The firm setting accommodates back sleepers and stomach sleepers best.

Saatva Cooling Factors
The Saatva scores about a 8.5 out of 10 for cooling so it is able to offer great breathability throughout the night. The dual-coil system promotes healthy airflow throughout the mattress, helping to keep you cool.

Can Saatva Support Your Weight?
The Saatva mattress can hold up to 300 lbs per side for a total of 600 lbs. The Saatva uses two layers of coils in the construction of the mattress making it able to support more body weight over time. This makes the Saatva great for all body types.
Foundation Compatibility
A solid box spring works fine with the Saatva mattress as long as it’s in good condition, meaning it’s sturdy and has absolutely no sagging. Your mattress warranty is still valid even when using your own foundation. Saatva also sells an adjustable base, foundation, and metal frame that are all compatible with the mattress should you choose to purchase one of those at checkout.

Deep Dive Inside Saatva
The Saatva is composed of 5 different premium material layers including an innerspring mattress coil on coil construction, memory foam, and a euro-top. You also have the option of choosing plush soft, luxury firm, or firm.

- Quilted Euro Pillow Top: Composes the top layer and provides cushioning. Designed to offer maximum comfort and cosiness.
- Individually Wrapped Coils: Built atop the support base, the comfort coils are designed to respond and contour to your body, while also decreasing motion transfer.
- Dual Perimeter Edge Support: All-foam encasement that minimizes sag and helps to provide extra durability and a supportive feel.
- Memory Foam: A high-quality foam layer that offers maximum pressure relief in your lower back. This contouring comfort layer includes active wire Lumbar Zone technology helping to add additional support to the middle of the mattress.
- Durable Steel Coil: Serves as the support system for a long-lasting mattress that helps prevent sagging. The coil layer ensures a breathable base built for maximum strength.
