✅ Pros

Motion Transfer 

If you sleep with someone else, you know how important it is to find a mattress that isolates your partner’s movements. To evaluate this, we had two testers lie on the bed, with one closing their eyes and lying still while the other tester moved around. The tester with their eyes closed only felt a few movements but wasn’t greatly disturbed.

Pressure Relief

At our Mattress Advisor lab, we test each bed’s pressure relief by using a special pressure map tool. When a tester lies on the mattress, the map will show us different colors. Cooler colors, like blues and greens, indicate that it does a great job of relieving pressure buildup in certain areas of the body. Warmer colors, like yellow and red, mean it doesn’t do so well. The SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid mattress was all blue when our heavier and lighter testers laid on their backs. 

There was a little pressure in the shoulders for both testers when they lay on their side, meaning it may not be the best option if you have sensitive shoulders and prefer sleeping on your side. Overall, this provided excellent pressure relief, leading us to give it an 8.5/10.

Edge Support

When it comes to edge support, the SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid ranked slightly lower than an average mattress. We felt like we were falling while lying on the side of the bed and like we weren’t fully supported. This likely isn’t a major deal breaker for average sleepers but something to keep in mind if you sleep with others or like to spread out on your mattress.

Spine Alignment

Keeping your back straight at night is just as important as sitting up straight when you work. The Dreamy Hybrid mattress did a good job of keeping our back mostly straight when we lay on our side, leading us to give it an 8/10.

We rated the SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid a 6/10 on the firmness scale since it was a medium-firm mattress. It’s very cushiony while still keeping your body elevated on top so that you don’t get a sinking feeling.

Does the SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid Sleep Cool?

The SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid had an average coolness level. It wasn’t very cool to the touch as some of the other cooling mattresses we have reviewed since it uses memory foam instead of latex. We did like that the cover was breathable so we wouldn’t have to worry about the bed trapping heat.

What Sleeping Position Does It Work For?

SweetNight’s Dreamy Hybrid mattress works great for all types of sleeping positions. Back sleepers will find that it contours perfectly to their body and stomach sleepers will enjoy the balance of firmness and plush it provides. It’s also a good bed for side sleepers who need pressure relief in their hip area. However, since it had a little bit of pressure buildup in the shoulder area, it may not be a great option for side sleepers with sensitive shoulders.

What’s Unboxing Like? 

The SweetNight Dreamy Hybrid mattress comes compressed in a tall cardboard box. We unboxed it in a minute and 42 seconds and noticed a slight off-gassing smell. It takes a bit to expand fully so don’t expect to sleep on it immediately after you set up. SweetNight recommends waiting a full 72 hours after setting up your mattress before trying it out to allow it to expand completely and get rid of any off-gassing smells.

Sleep Trial Period
