The Best & Worst Things

✅ Pros

  • Spinal Alignment: The AirCell Memory Foam does a great job of keeping the back in a neutral position so that you can avoid unwanted back pain.
  • Edge Support: Earning a perfect score in our edge support test, the WinkBeds GravityLux does an exceptional job at holding sleepers up as they move about or sit down to put their shoes on.
  • Pressure Relief: This mattress uses an open-cell structure to improve pressure relief and provide shock-absorbing cushioning.

❌ Cons

  • Noisy: Some customers have complained that the GravityLux is noisy when getting in and out, which could be a problem if you sleep with a partner or pet.
  • Expensive: With a twin-size starting at just over $1,000, the WinkBeds GravityLux is a little pricier than other mattresses on the market but provides a luxury feel for those willing to pay more.

Motion Transfer

During our lab tests, the WinkBeds GravityLux did a good job isolating motion. To test this, we placed a glass of water on the mattress’s surface and dropped a weighted ball. When the ball hit the mattress, the water moved only slightly. If you sleep with a partner or pet, you don’t have to worry about their movements disturbing you while you try to catch your precious beauty’s sleep.

Edge Support

The GravityLux knocked it out of the ballpark when creating their outer edges. We were thoroughly impressed when the mattress remained completely flat when I sat on the edge. Normally, even the best mattresses dip slightly when we conduct our edge support. This makes the GravityLux especially great for those that like to sprawl out and claim their territory when sleeping.

Spine Alignment

Those that wake up with a kink in their back can attest to the importance of having a mattress that gives you a neutral spinal position. As you can see in the photo below, my back was mostly straight when lying on my side, so this would be a good mattress for helping you wake up feeling refreshed.

Product Information

Let’s look inside the WinkBeds GravityLux mattress and see who it performs best for.

How Firm is the WinkBeds GravityLux Mattress?

The WinkBeds GravityLux comes in three different firmness levels: soft, medium, and firm. We tested the medium-firm model, which we rated a 7/10 since it was slightly firmer than the industry standard for medium-firm. Keep in mind that WinkBeds also offers the soft and firmer options for those wanting a bed closer to the extremes.

Does the WinkBeds GravityLux Sleep Cool?

The WinkBeds GravityLux sleeps cooler than most all-foam mattresses. This can be attributed to the Tencel cover with gel-infused foam. It also uses breathable AirCell Foam, which doesn’t retain heat.

What Sleeping Position Does It Work For?

Since this mattress excels in relieving pressure, it would be a great option for all sleeping positions. It also comes in multiple firmness options, making it perfectly firm for stomach sleepers who like an added support and perfectly cushion-like for back sleepers that want to feel like they are sleeping on a cloud.

How Much Weight Does the WinkBeds GravityLux Mattress Support?

The WinkBeds GravityLux can support up to 900 lbs. Since this is a firmer mattress, heavier sleepers may find it more appealing than WinkBeds’ softer mattresses, like The WinkBed.

What Foundations or Bed Frames Are Compatible?

The WinkBeds GravityLux is compatible with any bed frame with a rigid center support. This includes traditional frames, adjustable frames, and slatted frames.

WinkBeds GravityLux Mattress Materials

The WinkBeds GravityLux consists of three layers of premium proprietary foam. This next-gen memory foam contours and supports where your body most needs it.

WinkBeds GravityLux Inside
  1. TENCEL® Cover: WinkBeds’ Eucalyptus-derived TENCEL® Cover keeps you cool with 2” of gel-infused foam that promotes airflow and wicks away moisture.
  2. AirCell Memory Foam: An AirCell Memory Foam layer uses patented shock-absorbing air capsules to relieve pressure and eliminate motion transfer.
  3. Progression Foam™: This layer ensures targeted support in the back areas, specifically the hips and lumbar region.
  4. Atlas Core™ Foam: WinkBeds’ 1.8-lb Atlas Core™ foam helps make the GravityLux a durable mattress that doesn’t sag.

WinkBeds GravityLux Mattress Warranty

WinkBeds offers its mattress customers a lifetime limited warranty. This applies to all original owners for the duration they own their mattress. The limited lifetime warranty covers:

  • Any physical flaws in the mattress due to manufacturing defects, causing the foam or spring materials to degrade, split, or crack despite proper handling

To make a warranty claim, email info@winkbeds.com. If WinkBeds deems your mattress’s defects are due to manufacturing flaws, they will replace your mattress with a brand new one free of charge. WinkBeds also offers a 50% off replacement discount to buy one new mattress in the same size after purchasing one of their mattresses.

WinkBeds Customer Service

The customer support team is available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. You also can send an email to WinkBeds at any time. Below are methods for reaching customer service.

Return Policy

If you decide during your sleep trial that the GravityLux doesn’t fit your needs, you can return it for free. WinkBed will coordinate a donation or recycling pickup on a date that fits your schedule and handle all the logistics. They typically can pick up your mattress within 5 days and will issue a full refund within 5 days after picking up your mattress.

WinkBeds also offers easy exchanges for those that want to purchase a GravityLux with a different firmness level. This involves a $49 charge to cover transportation logistics for your new mattress and the removal of the old one. You get a 60-night trial with your second mattress to determine if it’s the right fit.

Is the WinkBeds GravityLux Right for You?

The WinkBeds GravityLux is a great option for all sleepers since it comes in three different firmness options and received strong scores in all our testing categories. Those with back pain will especially appreciate the next-generation AirCell™ Memory Foam that uses shock-absorbing air capsules to support and relieve major pressure points.

We do understand that the high price tag may not appeal to everyone, which is why it’s helpful to keep an eye out on holiday sales. You may also want to consider a quieter mattress like the Layla if noise is a big deal breaker for you.

Finding the right mattress can improve not only your nights but also your days.
