Bamboo sheets are an excellent choice for those of us who sleep in hot climates. That’s because bamboo tends to not only be a quick-drying, breathable material—which is good for cooling and wicking sweat—but also an ultrasoft one, which helps you feel cozier and more comfy overnight, no matter the temp of your bedroom.

To put this particular set of bamboo sheets to the test in my own bedroom, I gave them a quick machine-wash (warm water, gentle cycle) and -dry (low heat), and then made them into my bed. And then I crawled in—and felt my entire body turn into one big heart-eyes emoji.

Sliding between the fitted and top sheet felt a lot like sliding into a luxury hotel room’s sheets after taking a long, hot shower. The marketing for these sheets will describe them as having a “silky” feel, but to me it felt more “creamy”—the sheets were soft and smooth but not slick, like the bedding equivalent of applying lotion to freshly shaven legs.

The sheets also held up their end of the thermo-regulating bargain, keeping me cozy in the early hours of the evening, and cool enough in the later hours—so much so that I didn’t kick them off in the night, like I tend to do with cotton or flannel sheets. I’ll have to test them again on a colder night, but I suspect they would remain equally cozy under any conditions.

My only potential gripe about these sheets is with the current color options: I tested the white sheets, which wouldn’t be my preference considering how many pets co-sleep in my bed. That said, PlushBeds offers these sheets in six colors—white is just the only option currently available.

PlushBeds Bamboo sheets are covered by a five-year warranty against defects. The sheets can be returned for a refund if the box is unopened and the sheets haven’t been used; however, PlushBeds doesn’t offer a test or trial period—for safety reasons, once the sheets have been used, you can’t return them.
