Soon, you may be turning to them for all of your furniture needs. But for now, we’ll help you navigate the four mattresses they sell and help you decide which is best for you.

Why trust us?

Here at Mattress Advisor, we take pride in our unbiased evaluation system for testing the beds we bring into our Mattress Lab. That’s right, we’ve personally unboxed, setup, and touched each mattress from the Resident brand.

We’ve spent countless hours with each of these mattresses to perform a comprehensive assessment of its quality. Why? Because we care about you and your sleep, and the foundation of a good night’s sleep is a good quality mattress.

Which Resident Mattress is Best for Me?

Between these four mattresses, you’re left with a lot of great options and a hard decision to make. Although each of these mattresses touts great qualities, some appeal to certain types of sleepers more than other.

Choosing a mattress is a personal decision. You should pick based on which appeals most to your specific needs. We’ll help you sift through that below.

Best Resident Mattress by Lifestyle

There are certain factors about your lifestyle that can help inform your mattress shopping decisions. You spend one-third of your life on your mattress. Make sure it fits your needs.

Nectar DreamCloud Awara Level Sleep
Budget Shoppers
Hot Sleepers
Plus-Size Sleepers
Couples
Low-Back Pain

Just because a model has an ‘X’ beside it doesn’t mean that mattress won’t perform for your needs, it just means it’s not the best in this area.

Best Resident Mattress by Sleeping Position

Your sleeping position is another important factor you should consider when picking a mattress. The things a stomach sleeper needs in a mattress is very different than a back sleeper. See which is best based on your sleeping position in the chart below.

Nectar DreamCloud Awara Level Sleep
Side Sleepers
Back Sleepers
Stomach Sleepers
Combination Sleepers

Keep in mind that just because a model has an ‘X’ beside it doesn’t mean that mattress won’t perform for your sleeping position, it just means it’s not the best in this area.

To learn more about how we rated each Resident mattress’s capabilities, check out our in-depth mattress reviews.

Mattress Construction

Maybe you care most about what’s actually inside the mattress you’ll be sleeping on each night. If you already know a thing to two about mattress shopping, you could already have firm preferences on factors like choosing memory foam vs. spring mattresses. Or if you’re heavier weight, you may need more layers in your mattress to support your extra weight.

Check out the chart below to figure out how each model could support you.

Model Firmness What’s Inside?  Height Weight (for queen)
Nectar Medium-firm: 5.5-6/10 4 layers of memory foam 11″ 74 lbs.
DreamCloud Medium-firm: 6.5/10 8 layers of foam and spring coils 15″ 94 lbs.
Awara Medium-firm: 7/10 Dunlop latex and pocket coils 13″ 129 lbs.
Level Sleep TriZone firmness Foam with TriZone support 10″ 72 lbs.
