Restonic Mattress Company Overview
The Restonic mattress brand was founded and first introduced to sleepers in 1938 as the Triple Cushion Corporation. The company’s three founding members were passionate about helping people sleep better, so they designed patented mattress construction that was centered on improving body support, specifically focusing on the center third of the mattress. Little did they know at the time, but this technology was actually the precursor to what is known as today’s Marvelous Middle technology, which was eventually trademarked in 1965.
In 1946, Triple Cushion Corporation changed its name to Restonic while continuing to create and promote one-of-a-kind mattress collections that took the sleep industry by storm.
Over the course of the mattress company’s long history, a variety of celebrities and personalities have served as spokespeople for the brand, including Mel Blanc—famous for being the voice of Bugs Bunny—as well as Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows.
The company also has a deep reputation of being a leading-edge award winner. Restonic has been celebrated by Consumer Digest and is a Women’s Choice Award Winner.
Restonic mattresses can be purchased both in brick and mortar stores as well as through online retailers such as US-Mattress, Amazon, Wayfair, Overstock.com, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. However, there is no guarantee that your model of choice will be in stock at any of the third party websites.
