Which Saatva Mattress is Best for Me?

Obviously, one size does not fit all when it comes to mattresses. While some models could serve a variety of body types and sleeping styles, here is our professional opinion on which models suit each sleeping type best.

Best Saatva Mattresses by Lifestyle

Your lifestyle can inform what type of mattress will best suit you. Rather than making you figure out how your personal information translates to a mattress type, we’ll just tell you what we know to be true based on our testing.

Budget Shoppers
Hot Sleepers
Plus-Size Sleepers
Low-Back Pain

Just because a model has an ‘X’ beside it doesn’t mean that mattress won’t perform for your needs, it just means it’s not the best in this area.

Best Saatva Mattresses by Sleeping Position

Your sleeping position also plays a large role in choosing the best mattress for you. Depending on your primary sleeping position, you need a mattress that contours and offers support in all the right places for a restorative night’s sleep.

Side Sleepers

Combination Sleepers

Keep in mind that just because a model has an ‘X’ beside it doesn’t mean that mattress won’t perform for your sleeping position, it just means it’s not the best in this area.

Mattress Construction

If what’s in your mattress matters to you (which it should) then you’ll want to compare the models based on what you’re looking for. Some people prefer memory foam, while others prefer hybrid. If you’re a heavier sleeper, the layers in your mattress may matter more to you because you need more support.

Check out the chart below to figure out how each model could support you.

Saatva Company Information

Source: NYTimes.com

Saatva was founded in 2011 by Ron Rudzin and Ricky Joshi. The two decided that they’d rather sell their mattresses exclusively online than create a brick and mortar location, and it worked out. By 2015 both Forbes and Vogue mentioned the Saatva mattress company and gave positive reviews. Today, they still sell their luxury hybrid, foam, and latex mattresses online alongside adjustable bases, bedding, and frames.

For more information about Saatva’s company store, check out our behind the scenes interview with Saatva CEO, Ron Rudzin.

It can take up to 15 days for your Saatva mattress to be delivered. Because each mattress is made to order, it is rare that they can expedite delivery. But when it is delivered, they offer white glove delivery, setup, and a tutorial on any adjustable bases for free. They will also remove your old mattress for free.

Trial and Warranty

All Saatva mattresses come with a 120-night trial and 20-year warranty. Within those 120 days, if you decide the Saatva isn’t working out for you, they will come pick up your mattress and refund your money. However, there is a $99 return fee that covers the cost of transportation.

But, Saatva doesn’t make you feel bad about making a return; each returned mattress is donated to a veteran’s shelter.

Where can I purchase a Saatva mattress?

Saatva is a purely online retailer; they aren’t into brick and mortar locations. Check out their website to purchase any of the Saatva models.

How does the trial period work?

The day you recieve your Saatva mattress your 120-night trial starts. You can keep it in your home for that period of time, sleep on it, and then determine if you would like to keep it. If you decide to return the mattress, Saatva will come, pick it up, and take it to a veteran’s shelter for a $99 fee.

Will Saatva set up my mattress or remove my existing mattress?

Yes! Saatva offers free white glove delivery with every mattress purchase. They will deliver it, set it up, show you how to use and bells and whistles, and then remove your old mattress, all at no cost to you.

How long can Saatva mattresses stay in the box?

Any boxed mattress shouldn’t stay in the box for more than three months. And don’t forget: your trial starts the second your mattress is delivered. Don’t waste it!

Can I clean my Saatva mattress?

Saatva mattresses can be spot cleaned with mild detergent and water.

Are Saatva mattresses eco-friendly?

Yes, Saatva mattresses are made with the environment in mind. Each mattress cover is 100% organic; all foams used are CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning they meet some of the most rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability; and any latex used is all natural, organic, and non-toxic.

Will I need to flip my Saatva mattress?

Nope! None of them need to be flipped. But the Zenhaven has dual-sided firmness and should only be flipped if you want a different firmness level.
