Loom & Leaf Mattress Review Highlights

  • The Loom & Leaf mattress is made using premium, high-density memory foam. The feel is one that resembles expensive luxury mattress brands like Tempur-Pedic or iComfort, but with a much lower price tag.
  • The Loom & Leaf is one of few memory foam mattresses that comes in multiple firmness levels. The relaxed firm comfort level is designed for those who need optimal pressure point relief and the firm mattress is for sleepers who like memory foam but require a firmer feel.
  • The memory foam in the Loom & Leaf is incredibly responsive. This makes it easier to switch from one position to the next. As such, the Loom & Leaf is a good fit for combination sleepers.
  • Thanks to high-density foam, you won’t experience excess sagging on this bed as you might on other all-foam mattresses. The high-density foam closely contours the body and keeps it properly supported, providing exceptional spine alignment
  • All Saatva mattresses come with free white glove delivery and a 365-night sleep trial.

Compare What’s Inside

Let’s take a look at how each of these mattresses is constructed to see how these layers influence feel and performance. Despite being made by the same company, these two mattresses vary in their type of construction.

The Loom & Leaf is a multi-layer memory foam mattress. It comes in two comfort levels. The relaxed firm model is the most popular, with a balanced experience of plush contouring and full-body support. The firm model is best for stomach sleepers or back sleepers who prefer a firm feel.

The flagship Saatva mattress consists of five layers of foam, coils, and organic cotton. The Saatva hybrid comes in three firmness levels: plush soft, luxury firm, and firm. These models vary in the thickness and composition of the layers below to create diverse feels that suit every sleep position.

Inside Loom & Leaf

Inside the Loom & Leaf Mattress

  1. Organic Cotton Cover: The Loom & Leaf’s quilted organic cotton cover is soft to the touch. Thanks to the natural fibers and weave, this cover is exceptionally breathable and cool.
  2. Gel Memory Foam Top Layer: Saatva’s proprietary Spinal Zone Gel layer excels at dissipating heat and distributing body weight. With a high concentration of gel along the center of the mattress, the heavier trunk of the body doesn’t sink in too far. Less gel along the top-third means the shoulders can easily sink in, helping side sleepers achieve healthy spinal alignment.
  3. Premium Memory Foam: High-density memory foam (5-lb density) makes up the transitional foam layer. This premium layer of memory foam offers unbeatable body contouring, hugging the curves and evenly distributing body weight. Another perk of high-density foam is that it’s more durable than lower-density foams.
  4. Support System: The Loom & Leaf support system comprises multiple polyfoam layers. Together, they enhance mattress stability, limit sinkage, and boost the bed’s longevity.

Inside the Saatva Mattress

  1. Euro Pillow Top: An ultra-cozy pillow top is quilted into an organic cotton cover for a classy look and opulent feel. The softer the model, the cushier the pillow top
  2. Comfort Layer: The comfort layer consists of both polyfoam and memory foam layers that work together for cushion and contouring. By using different densities of foam, each firmness level offers a different sleeping experience. The memory foam is concentrated along the lumbar region, keeping the hips aligned with the rest of the body. This attribute is beneficial for stomach sleepers whose hips often sink too far into the mattress.
  3. Pocketed Coil Transition Layer: Individually-encased coils respond to the body’s weight, creating a contouring, supportive feel without excess sinkage. Exceptional lumbar support is offered thanks to tighter coils located along the middle of the Saatva
  4. Dual Perimeter Edge Support: Durable, comfortable foam encases the mattress. This foam enhances durability and facilitates cozy sleep along the edges of the bed.
  5. Durable Coil Support System: High-gauge steel coils create the base of the Saatva hybrid. These coils are tempered and oven-baked for the ultimate in strength, support, and longevity. By using coils rather than support foam, Saatva maximizes air circulation, keeping the mattress cool.
