Solay is a new online mattress retailer that’s kicking off product sales with a very important mission at its core. For every mattress sold, Solay will provide one bed and one box spring to a child in need through its partnership with Charlotte, NC-based non-profit, Beds for Kids.

Beds for Kids empowers families with children by delivering these beds and essential furniture items to powerfully supplement the family’s resources as they rise out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. Some of the children and families receiving these beds don’t have a bed to sleep in or a place to sleep in general. Beds for Kids hopes to extend their efforts to different regions across the country with the help of their partnership with Solay.

“We are excited to have Solay joining us to fight the fight to make sure that every child has a bed to sleep on,” said Daniel Fogarty, Executive Director at Beds for Kids. “Every night there are kids going to sleep on the floor without a bed to call their own. With this partnership, we are able to change that for more children.”

To date, Beds for Kids has provided over 10,000 individuals in the Charlotte area with new beds.

Solay Co-Founder, Tyler Smith says the company felt a passion and responsibility for giving back to the community. “We’ve constructed a product that allows people to sleep well and get them on their way to living a fuller life,” Smith says. “Throughout this process, we began to think about those who don’t have the means to a good night’s rest – something everyone deserves. By partnering with Beds for Kids, we hope we can make even the smallest change in a child’s life by equipping them with a better night’s rest.”

Solay is a hybrid mattress made with spring coils and memory foam. It’s made in the US and ships directly to your doorstep in a box. A queen-size mattress will run you $1,595, but you have 101 nights to decide if you want to keep it. If not, you can return it for a full refund and your unwanted mattress will be donated to a local charity at no cost to you. Sounds like a win-win to us.
